"Perception" is the boundary between the real and the imaginary, between madness and lucidity, between social morality and universal morality. It is the boundary between religion and truth. It is the definition of a soul, its vibration, its existence through and outside of this world and reality. It is the disagreement between various philosophies and scientific data; it is often a source of conflict and war.

-Mélissa: Hi Max!

-Max: Hi Mélissa! How are you doing?

-Mélissa: I'm good, thanks, and you?

-Max: I'm doing well too.

-Mélissa: I wanted to invite you to my birthday party. The girls and I were planning on organizing a little get-together for my birthday, and I would really like you to be there.

-Max: Oh yes! That’s right, I almost forgot. Sure, no problem, I’ll be there.

-Mélissa: What do you mean you almost forgot? Since when did we become such strangers to one another?

-Max: No, don’t say that. We will never be strangers to each other, Méli, never, do you hear me?

-Mélissa: Then explain to me why and how we lost touch with each other.

-Max: I have no idea, but one thing is for sure: it didn’t come from me.

-Mélissa: Oh! Alright, I hadn’t noticed. Well, I have to go, see you at the party.

What we believe most of the time turns out not to be the truth—a truth that is unique to us. A perception that is nuanced, affected by judgments, fears, and the need for socialization.
